What do you need to quote a custom injection molding project?
For the most accurate quote, send a STEP or other 3D CAD file, a dimensioned 2D drawing, resin and color requirements, annual volume, order quantity, critical tolerances, surface-finish requirements, and any assembly or inspection needs. If the material or tooling strategy is not final, include the part’s application and performance requirements. Our team can review the design and identify the assumptions needed for pricing.
How long will it take to get my orders?
Injection molding cost includes the one-time injection mold tooling investment and the recurring molded-part price. Key drivers include part size and geometry, mold complexity, cavity count, resin, part weight, cycle time, tolerance, surface finish, inspection, and annual volume. We evaluate tooling and unit cost together so the proposal matches your expected product life instead of optimizing only the lowest upfront price.
What is your minimum order quantity for injection molded parts?
MOQ is project-specific. It depends on resin purchasing quantities, color, machine setup, cycle time, secondary operations, and whether a mold already exists. We support small-batch validation and automated mass production, but the most economical quantity varies by part. Send your first-order quantity and annual forecast, and we can quote suitable volume breaks rather than forcing one standard MOQ across every project.
Can you help improve my plastic part design before tooling?
Yes. Our DFM for plastic parts can review wall thickness, draft, ribs and bosses, undercuts, tolerances, parting lines, gates, runners, ejection, shrinkage, and assembly fit. Moldflow analysis or other simulation can be added when the geometry or performance risk justifies it. Resolving these issues before mold manufacturing helps reduce tool revisions, cosmetic defects, and production delays.
Do you offer overmolding, insert molding, and 2K injection molding?
Yes. Our injection molding services include overmolding, insert molding, vertical injection molding, and 2K multi-shot molding. The best process depends on the materials, bonding requirements, insert geometry, sealing needs, production volume, and cosmetic standard. Share your CAD files and functional requirements, and our engineers can recommend whether overmolding, insert molding, 2K molding, or a conventional assembly is the most practical option.
How do you keep precision injection molding consistent at volume?
We use standardized process control, automated material feeding, robotic handling, MES monitoring, SPC checks, and CCD visual inspection to reduce variation. Our 109 injection molding machines range from 40T to 800T across three specialized workshops, supporting both precision plastic components and high-volume injection molding programs. The inspection plan and critical process controls are defined according to each part’s drawing and quality requirements.
Can you support both pilot runs and high-volume plastic injection molding?
Yes. We can begin with prototype or small-batch validation and scale into automated production after the part, mold, material, and process are approved. For higher volumes, we evaluate cavity count, cycle time, automation, inspection, and material supply to protect unit cost and capacity. Include your launch quantity and 12–24-month forecast so the tooling and production plan can be sized for the expected ramp.
